VOLCANIC: Introducing our bentonite clay based cleansing line. Our USP grade bentonite clay comes from purified volcanic ash. Everything you need for (months of) clean. Just add water!

A concentrated fluoride-free, foaming tooth powder to remove plaque, freshen breath and whiten teeth. You'll never go back to goopy paste!

Classic tooth care staples get modernized with help from green tea saponins and bamboo. Gentle hints of peppermint, spearmint, cinnamon and tea tree freshen with just a smidge of sweet. Organic aloe and bentonite clay sooth. USP minerals offer guaranteed purity.

Most plastic tubed toothpastes are +70% water and glycerin and last 1-2 months per tube. Our Volcanic Tooth Powder is so concentrated you can polish those pearls for up to 6 months with one bottle! Non-toxic, tested RDA (Relative Dentin Abrasivity) 46 = safe for everyday use.

How to use: Apply desired amount onto a very wet toothbrush, sprinkle into hand and dip brush or do a direct powder poof-to-the-toofs. Brush as directed by your dentist. Rinse.

Does Volcanic Tooth Powder Foam?
Yes!

Is Volcanic Tooth Powder safe for daily use?
Yes! The mechanical action of abrasives in tooth care serve an important purpose: they remove dental plaque and surface stains. Our Volcanic Tooth Powder was tested by a leading dental laboratory (according to the American Dental Association’s standards) to have a RDA (relative dental abrasion) of 46. The safe limit is and RDA of <250 but many dental experts agree that an RDA <100 is best for safer dentin wear.

Is Volcanic Tooth Powder whitening?
Sure. All toothpastes that claim they are “whitening” are simply referring to the abrasives in their paste as they do technically whiten via this physical action. Some whitening pastes have hydrogen peroxide in them as well. There is no “official” whitening ingredient in toothpastes, just marketing claims made by most. So yes, we use several gentle abrasive agents and feedback suggests it whitens great!

What is sodium cocoyl glutamate?
Ecocert COSMOS approved coconut derived sodium cocoyl glutamate is in our powdered tooth powder to create bubbles. Sodium cocoyl glutamate is a surfactant made from the fatty acids in coconut oil via a reaction with glutamic acid (amino acid). It is found in many toothpastes. We love a good cleansing foam when we brush which is why we include it.

Don’t I need fluoride in my toothpaste?
There is no fluoride in Volcanic Tooth Powder. Many commercial toothpastes contain sodium fluoride or sodium monofluorophosphate. Fluoride strengthens teeth and makes them more resistant to cavities by creating a barrier helping to prevent tooth decay. Many municipal water sources have low levels or fluoride in their drinking water (you can check this by calling your city services; federal guidance state fluoride levels in water should not exceed 0.7 parts per million). We aren’t going to get into the fluoride health debate but we chose to leave it out of our daily brushing routine. Visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and treatments!

Can kids use Volcanic Tooth Powder?
You bet! Our abrasion test came back quite low at a 46; it is gentle enough for kids providing they like “mint” flavor.

Are these powders allowed on airplanes?
Yes! TSA only regulates gels and liquids to less than 3.4 ounces. The limit on powders is 12 ounces. Part of our inspiration to develop the Volcanic line was so one could travel for several months with just a few small 4 ounce bottles of personal care products. It’s time to skip all the single use toxic hotel/motel plastic ridiculousness.

Can I refill my Volcanic bottles?
Yes! All of our VOLCANIC powders are highly concentrated and last 2-6 months per bottle. Our refill pouch is available for refilling.

Glass: In our efforts to encourage refilling, we chose glass! Volcanic glass bottles are 100% recyclable but we think you should just refill it ;)

Love! <3

I purchased this tooth powder exactly 3 months prior to today. The product is said to last approximately 6 months, so I wanted to wait until the halfway mark to see how it holds up. IMAGINE THIS. Not only is there MORE than half the bottle left, but I brush my teeth 3 times a day. Absolutely Killer. The $18-$20 price tag is more than worth it if it's only once every half a year or so.

It also holds up well in humid climates. I was a bit worried about this, so if you were too, feel free to cease your worrying (maybe it was just me lol). I prefer to pour directly onto a wet toothbrush over in the palm first, but you might feel like you're wasting all the powder that misses the brush this way... You're definitely not. Just... don't try to pour excess powder on the brush back into the jar. Water WILL hitch a ride and you'll regret it. I regretted it (lol).

They really perfected the scent and taste too, and I much prefer the mouthfeel of this over toothpaste. It's also satisfying to know it has only clean ingredients. Meaning both non-toxic, and literally every ingredient is only meant to clean. Nothing for things like color or preservation. Also fluoride free, which I love!

I will buy this until I die. Much love!

TL;DR - More than half the bottle left after 3 months, humidity doesn't affect it, don't worry about over-pouring and wasting it, ingredients are clean & taste good.

Lidia! This is everything we wanted to hear! I'm with you, I can't go back to paste. Tooth Powder or bust ;)

Love this new Inventive product!

Like others I am trying bit by bit to make better choices that move away from plastic or things that hurt animals & the earth. This Is an amazing choice for oral care without sacrificing teeth care. I like that I can adjust the consistence of the paste to my liking and I do not waste any product. The taste Is bright, fun and taste clean. I also appreciate that I can order refill rather that get another whole new bottle. Travel friendly and so easy to use! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product!!

yay!! we appreciate your time in thoughtfully reviewing our TOOTH POWDER!
