Do I need to use conditioner?
Probably not. It depends on what cleanser you are using on your hair. Most shampoo is so stripping, the need arises to “condition” the hair (ie: reduce friction). Coating the hair with “conditioners” prevents tangling and allows brushing but synthetic chemicals such as behentrimonium chloride and polymers are used to create this action. If cleansing your hair with Volcanic Soap Powder, we find we don’t need to condition. However, we still like to give our strands a deep moisture treatment.
Can I use it daily?
Sure. Depends on your preference. We find it works best when left on for a good 5-10 minutes. We like to use it 1x a week.

Are these powders allowed on airplanes?
Yes! TSA only regulates gels and liquids to less than 3.4 ounces. The limit on powders is 12 ounces. In fact, part of our inspiration to develop the Volcanic line was so you could travel for several months with small 4 ounce bottles of personal care products. It’s time to skip all the single use toxic hotel/motel plastic ridiculousness.
Can I refill my Volcanic bottles?
Yes! All of our VOLCANIC powders are highly concentrated and last 2-6 months per bottle. Our refill pouch is available for refilling.
