Baume à lèvres à la gousse de vanille - Boîte Slim Slider

I love this incredible chap stick. It's the perfect viscosity where it feels like it seeps in but isn't too greasy.
The root beer is by far my favorite but the vanilla is more mild and almost as sweet smelling.

I wanted to love this lip balm in tin form, but unfortunately I don't. I suspect it's the exact same formula as the tube lip balms, and it doesn't quite work out the same way then. With a tube you can firmly and easily press it onto your lips. This is easy, you can swipe back and forth no problems. When you're swiping your finger back and forth though, you don't get the same pressure. If you did, it would hurt. So it takes considerably longer to get it onto your finger, and what's next is that you have to transfer the product from the fingers to your lips. I don't mind this extra step, but I do mind it when the first step is there. It shouldn't be there. Might I suggest that you finetune the recipe a little? Maybe the consistency could be somewhere in between Balmtoo and the plastic tube lip balms. I expect a tin lip balm to have a sticky consistency so that it's easy peasy to pick up and transfer. Not only was it an annoyingly long swipe, swipe, swipe experience, but I couldn't layer on as much as I liked. Didn't really transfer that well. Please fix this and make the tin at least twice the size of a regular plastic lip balm! I'd like to keep this by my bedside table and something bigger is easier to handle when the lights are off.

I adore the new tins -- the design, the unique, narrow shape, honestly everything about them! (The balm is wonderful, too, of course; the formula's just as smooth and creamy as ever and the vanilla scent is calming and gorgeous. I don't want anyone to think that's not the case, just because I can't shut up about my TIN LOVE!) I sincerely hope more scents become available in tin format -- particularly lemon and lime!
